Zionsville Rain-out 09/08
As in past years the Herders headed up the Corvette Indy group that would be a part of the annual parade Along with John & Marg the following signed up to go, Melvin Benn & Sandra Richard, Ray Chester, Marian Cole & Susie Hale, Pete Davis. Bud & Eileen Mitcheltree, Tom Piercy, Keith Riley, Steve Shepard, Charlie Sherman, and Marilyn & Joe Travis. These folks were ready to go until the following announcement was made.
After much consideration, The Zionsville Lions have decided to make the decision tonight to cancel the Fall Festival parade, entertainment line up and vendors for Saturday, Sept. 8th. Please stay tuned for the possibility of carnival rides being open later in the day on Saturday. The Lions Lounge will be moved to the American Legion Saturday (more details coming in another post). We are hopeful to have all activities and vendors open on Sunday, Sept. 9.
Once the announcement was made John quickly converted the missed opportunity to parade Corvettes into just going to lunch, as they had already planned to do after the parade. Below are those that made it to Stone Creek for lunch.
