Hunt for Best Tenderloin Day IV 5/17
Today’s travels started at 11:00 A. M. at McClure’s Oil at 216th street and U S 31. Our early risers brought their Corvettes, since there wasn’t any sign of RAIN. Nothing but blue skies and tops down, with drivers meeting done, we were sat to go. 11:30 A.M., we traveled east on county roads to catch Indiana State Road 19, at Cicero, going north to Tipton, and turning east at SR 28, to SR 13 in Elwood. Proceeding north, where the road, at SR 13 ended with a ROAD CLOSED, take a right SR 26 to SR 37, just nine miles to Marion.
Once we arrived at THE MILL RESTAURANT, we were met by the rest of our drive and dine Corvette group. We were all welcomed by the Owner, Geoff Elzroth and the very efficient waitress, Kylee. Once inside, we had the second floor all to ourselves. Everyone at table one ordered a breaded tenderloin. Table 2, however, ordered three of grilled and three breaded tenderloins. The drinks were always kept full, pleasant conversations at each table were on going, while the cook staff prepared each dish. Some of the comments were: ‘The best yet we’ve had so far”, and the onion rings, they were also outstanding.
After dining a group picture was taken with Geoff and Kylee,. Another great place to dine, top notch, Lets’ come back in the fall on a SATURDAY so other club members can enjoy the same attention we received today.
