Cool Creek Vintage Vehicle Expo
On a humid Saturday, August 20th, a group of the club members met in Westfield for the caravan from the sign-in location for this years Cool Creek Vintage Vehicle Expo. The group consisted of nine cars: Greg, Donna, Rich & Suzanne, Chris & Paula, Randy & Sherry, Bob, Jack, Bill, and Mel. After signing in the group enjoyed the hospitality of the Collision Cure hosts prior the the escorted drive to Cool Creek Park. Once at the park the twelve club members enjoyed a leisurely afternoon at a very low pressure car show. With over 100 vehicles in attendance the show was considered a big success by Don Nicholls of the sponsoring Hamilton County Parks and Recreation. The show is open to all vehicle enthusiasts, but specializes in having many true vintage vehicles represented from fire trucks to motorcycles. Since Corvette Indy had a number of Corvettes entered this year, plus other non member entries, the Parks and Recreation group added a new award "Best of the Vettes", with Mel awarded the plaque for his '67 convertible. A good time was had by all, with a follow up meal at Max & Erma's for most of the group that were not afraid of the pending rain.
