Christmas in July III 07/13

Charlie and Eileen again hosted a great Christmas in July party at the American Legion. With beautiful weather a majority of those attending drove their Corvettes for a colorful parking lot. With the happy hour starting at 6 the group of nearly 80 members and a few guests were soon socializing around the room. At 7 the buffet dinner of pulled pork, Mary's fried chicken, along with vegetables and salads were soon being dished up and enjoyed by everyone. As in past years Jamie was the DJ and kept the music rocking along during the whole evening. Shortly after dinner was done and the first round of dancing the music was stopped and Bob was brought up as it really was his birthday and everyone sang to his embarrassment. He did mention something about his sister letting the info out, to his chagrin. The music then turned to different dancing moving from slow ones to line dancing tunes that the ladies, and a few guys, got up and enjoyed showing their moves to. The music and dancing continued through out the rest of the evening as party goers started to leave by thanking the two great hosts as they headed towards home.
