Jeff's Bumble Bee Gets Some Sting
Jeff Balow has added some sting to his Yellow C6 Coupe, here is his account of what has been done.
"After I paid my Vette off 3 years ago I knew that eventually a supercharger would be in it's near future. Once I became a member of CI, I spoke to Greg B about this and he suggested that I check with Mike Norris Motorsports who did the install on the "Beater". Well back in January of this year I traded e-mails with Mike Norris and decided that it's time to move forward. The supercharger arrived last Friday (3/21/14) while we were at Ricks' Boatyard and I dropped "Bumble Bee"(that's what I hear a lot of in the parades from little kids) off on Monday and picked her up Thursday afternoon. Mike Norris did a dyno before with it producing 425 hp(364 rwhp) and after with 651 hp(554 rwhp)!!!!!!!!!! I was more than pleased with the install and knowledge that Mike has. He does more than just engines, he also does brake and suspension packages. I would like to give a big THANK YOU to Greg B for helping me spend money that I didn't know I had (it seems that he does that often). "
With no changes to the hood the visible indication of the upgrade are the Fuel Pressure and Boost Gauges that have been added to the interior.
So, as with any Bumble Bee the 'stinger' stays hidden until provoked.
