Anderson Memorial Weekend 7/7 ~ 7/8
Three couples headed to Anderson to compete in the annual rallies that are part of the Anderson Memorial Weekend. Butch & Tammy DeWitt, David & Kim Pritchett, and Bill & Erika Lapham met at the Shell station then headed up to Bakers Corner and through Cicero and over to the new starting location in Anderson. They were joined by 16 more Corvettes and 2 metal cars for a nice group supporting ACA rallies. This year there were no Hare & Hound clues, but the answer sheet was separate from driving instructions with no correlation between the two. This of course made the 'fun' rally a lot harder, but the same for everyone. The rallies started at the Highland Middle School and ended at a new location of the Anderson Fraternal Order of Police lodge, which unfortunately was hidden from the street. This led to a number of the participants getting off route at the very end of the rallies. Most everyone finally made it to the lodge and enjoyed a great meal and a number won door prizes to make it a great afternoon.
On Sunday Anderson held their autocross events at the new middle school location. We had several workers there as David, Kim and Tammy returned, while Mark Hilligoss, along with Gary & Marian Cole also came in for the day. Also for sure Butch was there enjoying the competition in his black C4.
