Rail Epicurean Market

With the weather finally warming up and a dry day predicted Jim & Judi A called a Retirees & Hookey Player Drive N Dine for Tuesday June 2. They had it also announced at Monday's meeting which brought out some new members that had joined the night before and another couple who may soon be members. Therefore the total car count swelled to 12 for a nice start from Founders Park off of Hazel Dell in Carmel. Unfortunately the park was very busy with construction vehicles and a summer school going on. The assembled group parked in the in bound road and a few available spots in the lot. Once all were there Jim held a quick drivers meeting and we headed out towards our Westfield destination of the Rail Epicurean Market. As with any Drive N Dine the direct route was not taken, but a great drive through some of the Westfield, Noblesville and Morse reservoir picturesque roads. The trip was 25 miles and a driving time of 49 1/2 minutes, right on the mark as Jim had said it would take 50 minutes after several trial runs. Once at our destination everyone was treated to a number of great lunch choices and were able to dine inside or out. Everyone appreciated the great afternoon's drive set up by Jim & Judi with Jim S's assistance in plotting out the route on a number of fun roads. With the weather getting better the club can look forward to more of these wonderful afternoons with their friends from Corvette Indy. Additional pictures from Jim S and our host Jim A.
