Stuart's Steakhouse   

On Friday the 13th, with the promise of a sunny afternoon before rains coming in on the weekend five Corvette and seven Corvette Indy members met at Bill & Erika's house for a Retirees and Hookey Player Drive N Dine. The group consisted of Greg & Donna, Jim, Robert, Jack, and Bill & Erika. The destination was Stuart's Steakhouse in Sheridan, but as usual with the Corvette Indy group, a direct route could not be taken. We took a tour of the Willows subdivision and again all drooled over the size of garages that were attached to the houses, and in some cases additional detached garages. It was noted that there were a number of additional houses for sale, and ones that were listed last Fall still are unsold. Once out of the subdivision, after a minor missed turn the drive's leader, we headed back in to Carmel to at least do one full roundabout before heading North. Eagle Creek road was our next route destination, which unfortunately is not weathering well. From there we took a fairly straight route up to Sheridan. Bill let his GPS take him to the old Stuarts downtown location even though he had been to their new location several times. This lead to a tour of most of the town and driving on a marginal county road prior to getting back to SR 47 and easy access to the steakhouse. After a long lunch and several stories about past trips the group broke up and headed for their homes before the promised rains actually arrived.
