Jim K's Birthday Dinner 04/09

With his birthday coming up on April 12, Jim Kellam reminded Bill Lapham at the April 4th meeting that they had celebrated it with a very short notice (Saturday) Drive N Dine to Half Moon Restaurant in Kokomo the previous year, with 20 going. So with that in mind they decided that the upcoming Saturday would be the weekend to have at least a Dine to Kokomo. At the meeting it was announced and 25 members responded during the week. Several met at Bill & Erika's for a mini caravan north while the majority made their way safely up 31 to the Blue Moon. Most left their Corvettes at home since it had snowed the night before with salt as a worry and the temps were only in the high 30's. Certainly glad that the Penske BBQ had been a few weeks before when it was in the 60's! Everyone had a great time with even long time members Randall and Amy coming over from Alexandria to the festivities. Fortunately the reservation had been made for 4 PM and the restaurant easily accommodated the group of 23 (1 couple missed due to a business problem). As the members left near 6, the lobby was crowed and waiting times of an hour were being quoted. Have a birthday coming up? If so pick a place to go and plan a Dine .. if the weather is nice a Drive to it would be a great way to make it a fun outing with your friends from Corvette Indy.
