​Bison and Bovine Metal Car Cruise 04/13

John and Marg Herder hosted this unique drive along with Mary McConnell arranging access to the bison herd at Kankakee Sands. The trip was set up even if rained, but the day turned out to be sunny but cool with a bit of wind. Most of those that went took along their grand children as this was special chance to see the bison up close. Mary even was able to have the herders get them up to the fence as the pictures show. After the seeing the bison a number of the families headed to Fair Oaks Farm to check out the domesticated farm animals and get some lunch.
