Carmel 4th of July Parade 07/04
With Corvette Indy's 30th Anniversary this year participating in the Carmel Fest Fourth of July Parade is right behind as the club was in it for the 28th time. As in past year's Gregg was the host and as he said that he was asked for 18 or so Corvettes, but he looses count after 20 (no more fingers or toes) and we had 27 answer the call. As in past years we did a pre stage and then moved as a group over to our staging location. Also after many years of starting in position 70 or further out we were number 35, which made for a shorter waiting time and was appreciated by all the members there. Once underway the Corvettes were doubled up, and a great change this year were allowed to be on either side of the new median on Rangeline to keep the parade moving smoothly along. As the pictures show the crowds were as large as any in past years even with the near 90 temps but nice bright sunny skies making for a great parade day. A few of the members headed to Granite City for lunch, while most of the rest headed home to the AC.
