Cammack Station 09/13
Jimmie & Donna Driscoll for their first time leading a Drive N Dine not only planned a long drive to a neat place they also placed an order for the best weather of the driving season. This being their first time leading they were hoping for around 6 or 7 Corvettes, what they got was a total of 16 leaving the Meijer Parking lot in Carmel for an all back road scenic drive to Cammack Station just outside of Muncie. Those able to attend along with Jimmie & Donna were Tom & Nancy Piercy, Bill & Erika Lapham, Jim & Shelley Noelle, John & Marg Herder, Gary & Marian Cole, Pete Davis, Larry & Joy Greenwalt, Terry Sitzer & Susie Hale, Monte & Kathy Hale, Rick & Jan Stout, Greg & Donna Bowron, John Vest, Wylie & Rita Etscheid, Mark & Donna Schlichter, and Alan & Judy Carnahan.
The drive went very well with nearly an hour and half cruise time, which made sure everyone was hungry when they got there. Once there everyone marveled at the all of the automotive memorabilia outside and then inside the historic building. The unincorporated Cammack is in the Mount Pleasant Township of Delaware County and has a lot of history . We were also met by member Brent Williams who actually lives fairly close and has also been know to stop by in his C1 to enjoy the ice cream even when not meeting club members there. Everyone had their fill of great food and ice cream. Many also took the opportunity to have their Corvettes and their picture taken in front of the building, which some will use for their Christmas party Corvette picture. As always the club members had a great time and a HUGE thanks to Jimmie & Donna for there planning a wonderful afternoon. Message to other new members, you too can pick a destination and certainly get help with planning a trip to it yet this year.
