​SVRA Weekend June 16-18

By far the most popular event of the weekend is the Indy Legends ProAm Charity race on Saturday afternoon. It pairs 33 veteran Indy 500 drivers with amateur racing partners driving Corvettes, Camaros and Mustangs in a 45-minute race on the IMS road course. Since debuting in 2014, the Indy Legends ProAm Charity race has raised over $100,000 for local charities. For the first time ever, the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli was part of the weekend.  This is a 'must see' for anyone interested in sports cars and road racing – just do it. Our own Jim Shaver was busy working in the race control room in the Pagoda, but found time to come down to track level during the fan pit walk for a brief visit with friends.
