Parky's Smokehouse 03/30/14

With one day's notice Bill & Erika called for a true DRIVE n Dine from their house to Parky's in Lebanon. Those able to wake their Corvettes up were hosts Bill & Erika L, Bob & Sherry W, Jeff B & Charity N, Greg T, Chris & Paula W, Rich & Machelle P, Alan & Judy C, and Kim C. Kim almost earned herself a 'gas can award' but called an audible before starting by having Bill direct her to the nearest gas station, which was 5 miles away. She got their house a little late but the time allowed for some of the drivers to show off there over winter additions. This included Jeff's supercharger, Chris's hood, engine bling, and new exhaust as the major items, Alan's additional bright work & other bling, and of course Bob & Sherry's new C7 on it's first DnD outing. The group was met at Parky's by Bob & Barb Y not driving a Vette as they had been downtown Indy at the Stutz Building for the Cars for the Cure show. We also had Susie H & Terry S not driving a Corvette due to Susie's soreness but continued successful healing. With the short notice the 8 Corvettes headed out towards Mule Barn road to Sheridan and headed west on 47 to the 'back way' in to Lebanon. A nice 35 minute drive where there are a few curves to knock off the winter stiffness. Once at Parky's everyone was able to make good use of the extensive menu. We even had the owner's wife come by to greet us, with Bob Y hitting her up for a promised door prize for Main Event. After lunch, the group still gathered around the cars for awhile, enjoying the sun of the last days of March which was leaving like a lamb.
