2015 Indiana State Fair Open Car Show
Every yeat the fair has a closing day car show limited to 100 vehicles (so pre-registration is a must). CI member Ross G. was the lone member to attend this event after he decided to enter for the first time. The show was hosted by "The Original Circle City Corvette Club", and they did an excellent job. There was quite a variety of cars, and the 20k-30k people attending the fair saw a fantastic display of every era of automobile. while everyone that participated received a R/W/B ribbon, there were 20 First place Blue Ribbons. and a "Best of Show" Ribbon. Ross G. was able to win a "Blue Ribbon", one of only 2 Corvettes to win an award, the "Best of Show" ribbon went to John Gash for his red 1960 Corvette. With so many people looking at cars, there was plenty of conversations with fair goers willing to talk about their own cars and past experiences with classic cars, and the talks about the "One" that got away that they wish they still had!". Thanks to Ross for the report and the pictures of the special event.
