Claddagh Irish Pub 03/05
A group of 11 members made it for an early evening meal called by Bill & Erika and Wylie & Rita at the Claddagh's on 96th Street. Along with the hosts those able to make it on the short early afternoon notice were Susie H, Terry S, Bob Y, Greg & Donna B, and Jerry & Elaine C for a fun early evening dinner at the large round table in the 'whiskey room'. Many had the fish and chips along with several enjoying the pubs drink specials. The discussions were many and varied, including business and pleasure trips to foreign countries and some of the varied experiences had by all. Rita had an especially large distaste for how sausages were sometimes served in Bavaria, please ask her for a description. Greg recounted trips to Japan and Korea and some of the issues including restroom facilities, which was of great interest to Jerry & Elaine who are headed to Japan this spring. The discussions also turned to Corvettes and some of members memories of their first Corvette experiences. A really great evening was had by all, with Susie supplying a few different jokes she had received by email. Unfortunately when the group left it was snowing a bit just to remind everyone that this year's winter wasn't over yet.
