Mel & Norma's After Parade Tour

With the Fishers Freedom Parade an annual event on the club Calendar Mel & Norma held an after parade party at their house on Morse Reservoir. Norma, who is a Master Gardner, had just shown her gardens in a Master Garden Display on the same weekend. For the guys in the club Mel displayed his handiwork on his newly restored 1936 Ford Cabriolet . After their open house displays Mel & Norma then escorted the group over to the Harbour Trees Beach Club on Morse Reservoir for the meal part of the Drive N Dine. With the invitation open to all club members there were a number just headed directly to their house to enjoy the displays and snacks at the appointed 5 PM time. It was a good thing that they had snacks as the Fishers Freedom Parade, which started at 4 didn't get that group done until after 5:15. So those 8 Corvettes and 16 passengers didn't arrive until nearly 6. Getting near the house it was easy to spot, as they were were greeted by Mel's beautiful Ford on the drive and the gardens in full bloom. Once there everyone got to mingle and discuss the past weekend's hectic schedule of Blooming Gold and the parade. Due to the group's large number the early arrives headed to the club around 6:15 with the rest following 20 minutes later. Once everyone was at the club house they were treated to great views of Morse and a well appreciated meal. This was a great way to end a busy weekend with many friends from Corvette Indy.
