The last meeting of the year was well attended with 114 members with most enjoying the steak and shrimp buffet. Once the meeting started it went quickly as the only upcoming event is the Christmas party on Saturday the 7th. During the meeting several outgoing officers were recognized for their multiple year service to the club. The meeting ended in a record 25 minutes, which should become a target for meetings during next year!

Unfortunately with the lousy November weather the Corvette driving season is pretty much over for the year. But with over 100 members at the last meeting of November, and with just one more meeting this year, the group had a great time being together without their Vettes in the lot. The main thing covered was the upcoming Christmas Party on December 7. where everyone is asked to bring a gift card this year instead of toys to be given to "Foster Fairies". Other items discussed are the possibility of changing some of the by-laws, with recommendations being made by executive committee. See the Newsletter for more information on these and other upcoming club matters.

The first meeting of November was cold and with a few showers, so Corvettes were safely kept at home. It was election night and 95 members were there to cast votes. The previous meetings nominees were all voted in along with new Merchandise Directors, so all positions were filled for the next year. With the season winding down the main upcoming events are the Veterans Day parade along with the annual Christmas Party, be sure to check out the weekly emailed announcements for more information and any newly added events.

A rainy October day brought fewer members to the last meeting of the month. It also let everyone know that their Corvettes will be put to bed sooner than later for the season. A majority of the 75 there had also enjoyed the 20th Anniversary celebration the previous Saturday and were still extolling the evening. The meeting went quickly with just a few short officer reports. We did have a new member join, which takes us to 275 prior to renewals for next year. With elections being held the first meeting of November nominations were opened and all positions except for Merchandise Director have a person nominated. Nominations will be reopened at the 11/4 meeting prior to the elections for the 2021 year. With the year winding down just a few events remain including the Butler homecoming and the Veterans Day parades plus a trip to a planetarium and other events that will be in the weekly email.

August's first meeting of the month turned in to a wet one as a surprise rain shower gave a bath to the 20 Corvettes in attendance. As in the past they did not melt and all will have plenty of time to get washed prior to the club's upcoming Vettes for Vets on August 17. The meeting had a 101 members and guests in attendance, for another good evening with friends. Among items covered during the meeting were the upcoming 30th Anniversary photo on Saturday August 10 at with hopefully 100 club member Corvettes in it. We have contracted with a professional drone photographer to do the shot for an upcoming Blue Bars cover. The time for this important event is 4 PM at 91 Street Christian Church 6049 East 91 Street. Also during the meeting more about the upcoming Car Show and the four Rallies that are following on Sunday August 18 were gone over with a lot of interest in both days. The last item that came up was the final decision to cancel the first meeting on September, which is Labor Day, therefore there will only be one meeting in September on the 16th. The meeting then adjourned to the drying Corvettes in the lot.

Like a switch being turned on the summer heat was in full blast for the first meeting of July. At least 25 Corvettes were in the lot and over 100 members inside to enjoy the time together. The meeting had quick officer reports and then got into discussions of upcoming events including several parades and car shows and other events coming up before the next meeting. Jimmie also recapped preparations the upcoming club car show on August 17 and reminded everyone to get their registrations in. Marg also recapped the events of a return trip from a New Harmony trip check where super member Bob Young brought some new tires to meet Steve in Terre Haute after Steve had a flat in the wilds of Illinois. Be sure to read her anecdote Four Disasters and a Miracle for a great recount of the day.

With a very wet evening only one Corvette was spotted in the lot (photographer didn't want to get the camera wet looking for more) along with nearly 110 members dry inside. William & Sharon brought cakes to celebrate their April anniversary along with other anniversaries and birthdays along with the successful Main Event run earlier in the month. The meeting mainly revolved around the Main Event with several reports, including a record number of drivers at 55 on Saturday and 39 on Sunday. Everyone that worked was thanked for sticking the long day out on Saturday as we had nearly 780 timed runs while Sunday was wet and everyone got drenched even with getting finished by mid afternoon. Other items discussed were upcoming Car Shows, the Penske BBQ on Saturday June 22, and the upcoming parades starting with Bridgewater on July 3 and Carmel July 4. The Drive N Dine scheduled for Thursday 6/20 was rescheduled to 6/27 due to road conditions in Southern Indiana. Keep checking Jim's update emails for any further changes due to the extremely wet June we are having.

Also talked about the past weeks events including winning two club participation plaques at both Vettes for Vets and the Justin Steinwachs Memorial Car Show, showing just how involved Corvette Indy is and how many opportunities there are to enjoy our Corvettes.

The weather finally starting to break with 29 Corvettes and 113 members and guests arriving at the second meeting of April. Even with lots of conversations going on the meeting quickly got to order at 7 when Ray took to the mic. Officer reports were short and concise (basically No Reports). The previous weeks events were covered including the Angry Donkey Drive N Dine, one of the clubs largest ever, and the trip to see Bison & Bovine along with Fair Oaks Farm. During old business Shep discussed the Vettes for Vets trip on May 4, which is before the next meeting. John, our Main Event chairman, made a presentation on how preparations were going and where more help will be needed. Other upcoming events were also discussed with the Month of May events coming very soon.

The weather is starting to get better 7 Corvettes were driven to the second meeting in March along with 74 members that made it to the evening's gathering. To celebrate St. Patrick's Day the Legion's Buffet was full of good tasting Corned Beef and supporting sides for a classic meal. The meeting itself went very quickly with either very short or no reports given by most of the officers. Worker needs for the August rallies were discussed by Betty, along with other upcoming shows and events that the club members will soon be attending as the weather continues to break. Be sure to look at the website events page or newsletter to see those event dates that are coming up.

With March coming in like a lion, at least as far as temps are concerned, a good group still made it out the meeting as 80 members were in attendance. This year's major club events were discussed as Jimmie D covered the August 17 Vets N Vettes Car Show and, now that we have all of the needed sanctions, Bill covered the August 18 Corvette Indy Summer Rallies which will end with a club picnic for members and competitors. Please sign up with Jim for both August club sponsored events and the upcoming Autocross in June too. With the Region's awards banquet this past weekend Ray was given the club's second place NCCC point plaque along with recognizing members that had won plaques and earned 200 point jackets. Also during the meeting two new members joined and talked about having just purchasing their first Corvettes and looking forward to enjoying them soon. That is a sentiment that all members are having as everyone is waiting for the weather to break and the salted roads to be gone!

A bit smaller group of 68 members attended the second meeting of February as very light snow fell. With Ray back at the helm the meeting went along with reports from the group that had been at Spring Mountain driving school. The officers followed with our new governor Bob reporting that the Main Event needed sanctions have been obtained and the dates have been posted on the national competition database. As we get closer to Corvette driving season upcoming events were discussed including Mary talking about the Bison viewing trip and Shep with our annual trip to the Veterans home on May 4, which has become a large club charity event. It was also reported that Mary's 1001 year old mother ended up getting 136 birthday cards and Shep and Sheila have a new grandson in the family.

February's first meeting was a very quick one as Vice President Steve ran the meeting because President Ray was under the weather after his trip to Spring Mountain. Among items discussed was the change in dates to March 2 for the region's Award Banquet, where several of the club members will receive 200 point jackets. With weather still poor there are not many Corvette driving opportunities in the next few weeks, but spring is on the way and soon Corvettes will be at meetings and on Drive N Dines and other club events. Be sure to check out the Event Listing page's calendar for those driving opportunities and Jim's emails for the latest in upcoming club activities.

The second meeting was on a bitter cold and icy evening which held the number of members attending down. Plus a number missed due to heading to the warmer climates of Florida and Arizona for vacations out of the cold. The buffet inside was warm though with plenty of food for those that enjoyed it, especially the hot soup. The meeting covered more about upcoming club sponsored events this year and the number of sanctions needed to run them. Other trips and items were also covered, be sure to read the minutes in the newsletter for full information.
