Black Cat Friday DnD
On Friday the 13th, Bill and Erika called for a late lunch drive and dine hosted by Junior, their Black Cat, to commemorate the "Adopt a Black Cat Day". Unfortunately he declined to greet his guest but chose to take a nap in Bill's office chair. The group that did come for the drive were treated to a beautiful afternoon which was enjoyed by members Bill & Erika L, Jim & Judi A, Al & Terry F, Greg T, and new member and a real hookey player George B. The group of 8 members in 5 Corvettes headed West towards Whitestown and the L A Cafe, a new destination for most everyone. To get there Bill took a expanded route that got to the day's magic number of 13 miles, totally unplanned but noted once there. Which such a beautiful day they decided to sit on the cafe's patio, which was a private dinning location that afternoon. From this location they were able to observe the front street and the local police officer going by at least three times. Probably attempting to keep an eye on the influx of out of town cars. We were also treated to a run by the town's ladder fire truck, of which we wondered where they would need a ladder that tall. After a bit Judi declared the restaurant a 2 Thumbs Up location, this was even before the food was served! Everyone agreed and even more so after the meals were eaten. Discussions varied at the two tables and finally the group broke up and headed carefully out of town by different routes to stymie the local gendarmes attempts at any mass arrest.
