Westfield Homecoming Parade
Corvette Indy helped out Penske in providing both Corvettes and drivers for Penske cars for the annual Westfield Homecoming Parade. Last years event was rained out, so the beautiful, almost fall afternoon, of September 20 was a great day to have this years parade. Those from the club that drove their own Corvettes were Jim K, Andy & Sarah L, Jim W, John & Margret H, Mike L and Bill L. Corvette Indy drivers for Penske supplied Brick Yard badged Corvettes and Camaros were Greg & Donna B, Barry R, Darrell H, Jim & Shelley N, Lew S, Arminta I, Dick P and Bill R. We even had backup drivers of Sherry S, Jewell P, and Bob Y who had also volunteered their time to help but there weren't enough Penske cars to go around.
Matt and Mike Quinn, Chevrolet Zone Manager, lead the group up Keystone and then a more circuitous route than our usual US31 to the school due to the construction. Once there we lined up and awaited our assignments within the parade. The parade proceeded without a hitch with many Westfield fans lining the route snaking through the school ground complex. Once done the group of Penske cars caravaned back down US31 and Keystone to safely return the cars to the dealership. After the parade Jim & Shelley, Dick & Bonnie and Greg & Donna went to the Claddagh for some great food and more fun.
