Art on the Vine Meets the Classics
On Sunday June 10, Bill along with Doug & Arminta headed to Monticello to the Whyte Horse Winery to view their Classic Car & Bike Show. Actually Bill's main objective was to put some more road miles on the fresh 454, to get the lifters seated in. With the show as the destination in mind the two Corvettes headed from Carmel and took state roads, including detours, to Monticello. Once there even though both Corvettes were show clean from being at, and winning trophies, in the Penske car show the day before they declined to register and just went in to view the cars and bikes. The venue is very nice and a number of truly classic cars where there. There was also a mini Corvette coral around the gazebo, which included a mint Bloomington Gold registered White 1954. The day was hot, and actually looked like it might thunderstorm, so the two Corvettes made an early afternoon of it and headed back to the North side Indianapolis. A good cruise for the day, with more needed to break that 454 in!
