Wylie's Winter Weather Break & More Sightings
With most of the members keeping their Corvettes tucked away, Wylie & Rita couldn't stand just looking at their new C7 in the garage and took it out for a ride on Sunday 1/12. The day was sunny and in the low 40's with most of the major streets clean. With 86 miles on the odometer they stopped by Bill & Erika's while running around to get photo documentation of their day out, and as can be seen snow was still on the ground after the previous week's storms. Once done with their excursion Wylie was going to wash the underside and put the C7 back to sleep until the next time the weather cooperates, hopefully before Spring!
March 24 brought Wylie out for another short drive attempting to get additional break-in miles before the Bowling Green Trip. He stopped by and picked up Bill who was allowed to take a turn at the wheel. After going about 5 miles from Bill's house the low fuel light came on, but the navigation system knew where the closest station was and off they headed to it. This was Wylie's first fill-up since purchasing the car which now has around 280 miles on it. While fueling Wylie got into a discussion with a couple of fellows about his new C7 and the fun he is having with it. After fueling up, they headed onto I65 and I465 then up Shelborne Road and stopped by Al's house before heading back to Bill's. Bill had a fun drive and looks forward to seeing Wylie cruise around with his top down soon.
