2019 Corvette Indy Christmas Party 12/07
The annual Christmas Party was again held at the American Legion Post. With a number of Christmas trees and beautiful floral arrangements on the tables, the room was decorated and ready to go as the members started to arrive at 5:30. Over 80 members enjoyed the traditional buffet of Mary's fried chicken and ribs. This was after the pre dinner social time which included Santa John & Shep's rendition of the Corvette Indy Christmas poem. It had again been written by Gregg Ernest, who was unable to attend, but did have a few Shep additions during the reading. After dinner Paul gave a very good recap of the year's charity giving, including that over $900 was donated this evening for the new Foster Fairies that will help foster children in the area. We also are helping two families with $500 each of gifts, with the Habecker's and Etscheid's gathering them for each one. A picture of Rita's already wrapped and ready to go is at the right. Later Paul also hosted a game of Jeopardy, to the delight of the assembled group. During the evening music was played by Jamie, our usual DJ. Once dinner was done the music switched from background to dancing tunes for the ladies and a few venturous guys. Unfortunately they did not include many Christmas ones, maybe another year. As the party wound down members headed for home after a great evening of Holiday Cheer, with the club wishing everyone a
