Rick's Boatyard 04/19

With weather predicted for the high 60's Greg & Donna called for a weekend short notice Drive N Dine. A good group was able to make it out for the afternoon cruise that started at the host's house including Rick & Monica M, Rich & Susanne B, Jim & Judi A, Bob & Sherri W, Bob & Barb Y, Mark & Donna S, Bill & Erika L, Greg T, Jack H, Al F (with Terri meeting us at Rick's for lunch), and Kim C a true weekend hookey player as she only did the drive and then went back to work! After an hour or so drive the group met up with Corvette-less Jim & Shelley N who were already at Ricks. In a few minutes Alan & Judy C pulled in and then Tom & Rhonda joined the group driving Rhonda's new C7 White Z51 Coupe. With the day being so nice the group sat on the covered deck and had an enjoyable late lunch. Although some got served much quicker than the others as one table had drink AND meal orders taken, while the other had only drinks and then the meal requests taken. In any case it did not matter as everyone spent their non eating time chatting away. After lunch was done everyone headed out to the parking lot to view the latest C7 added to the club. A beautiful car and a good compliment to Rhonda's '58. While there Bob Y got another chance to treat a young onlooker to a seat behind the wheel of his C7. The smile that was on the young man's face was priceless! Who knows maybe another future Corvette Indy member. After spending a while in the lot a few of the group took the long way home as the day was too nice to head home early!
