A Tribute to Richard (Dick) Satkamp
1945 -2004
Dick was a true Corvette lover with it being a very important part of his life. He was a Corvette Indy Charter Member 1989-2004, and a member of the following Corvette Clubs prior to that, Indianapolis Corvette Club 1974-1989 and Glass Menagerie late 1969-1974. Dick was the 2ND President of Corvette Indy and served a one year term in 1991 which was the 3rd year of existence for the club.
He belonged to the National Corvette Restorers Society (NCRS) 1978-2004, and was NCRS judge for Indianapolis Chapter, 1963-67 Division, since 1992.
Dick was a National Corvette Museum 1990 founding member, 2001 lifetime member and has a museum brick with the Satkamp name there.
He was a lifetime member of the National Council Corvette Clubs (NCCC). Received Bloomington Gold Certification for 1978 Pacecar awarded in 1992. Corvette Nationals lifetime member Indiana Region 1997 Callahan Award and 1997 Mens 2nd Place Region Award

Dick also competed in car shows, rallys, funkhanas, charity events, autocross, drag racing, swap meets, as well as collect anything with a corvette logo, a subscriber to a number of books and magazines, anything that would have him in contact with corvettes. A Corvette enthusiast in every sense of the word.
