Butler 2015 Homecoming Parade
Corvette Indy's annual participation for the 18th time in the Butler Homecoming Parade was on September 26 which was a bit overcast with a few sprinkles before the parade. This year the request was for 12 Corvettes that were needed to carry the Homecoming court Those answering the call were Butler liaison Barry R, along with repeat drivers Pam K, Jim K, Mike L, John & Diana A, John & Marg H, Bill L, Erika L, Wylie E, and new drivers Mike T, Tom F, and David F for a mix of C3 through C7 series in a colorful array of models. All of the Corvette Indy members also had their 'official' Butler Homecoming T-Shirt on for a cohesive club look. The route was it usual length of 8/10 of a mile for a 16 minute drive, again the shortest but quickest parade the club participates in! Everyone had a great time and this year's court participants were very excited and appreciated the rides.
After the parade 8 of the group headed to Granite City for a leisurely lunch and recap of the day.
