2013 CarmelFest Parade
This years Carmel Parade was in much better weather conditions than last year, with cloudy and cooler conditions verses the near 100+ degree previously encountered. That brought out 24 Corvettes of various years and a rainbow of colors to our initial gathering point. Those attending were Greg E & Chloe, Jeff B & Charity N , Rich & Suzanne B, Greg & Donna B, James B & daughter, Doug & Arminta I, Jim & Pam K, Andy & Sarah L, Mel & Norma M, Dick & Bonnie P, Robert S & Judie, Bill & Erika L, John & Marge H in the C4 along with grandson & son in the convertible , Jim & Shelley N, Susie H & Terry S, Bob H, Bill & Cheryl R, Mike S, Barry R, Jim A, Jewel P, Phillip B & his dad Myron, and Bob P. Only 23 made it to the parade's start line as Bob's C3 would not idle low enough to safely drive in the parade, so he headed home. The rest of the group had no issues, just the longer wait to get started as we were unit #93 out of 108 entrants. With our leader of Greg & Barry walking with the Corvette Indy banner we headed away from the final staging point to Carmel Drive and then up Range Line Road to Main Street. As always the streets were lined deep with many spectators along the whole route, with a number of young ones spilling in to the street. Once we were done with the parade we headed out to Keystone and down to 96th street and Scotties Brew House where most everyone joined for a nice luncheon before several headed out to the Westfield Rocks the 4th Car Show.
