2013 Fishers Freedom Parade
On June 30, a cloudy Sunday, a group of Corvette Indy members met at the Target on 116th street near I69. This was their initial gathering point before heading to their assigned spot to get ready for the 2013 Fishers Freedom Parade. Those able to make the day were Bill & Erika L, Jim & Shelly N, Greg & Donna B, Chris & Paula W, Rich & Suzanne B, Darrell & Beth H, Phillip B & his dad Myron, Susie H, & Terry S, James B & daughter Cloe, Paul H with grandson Royce W, & friend Harrison B, William & Tammy D, Bonnie H, Dan G & Hayden along with new members at their first Corvette Indy Parade Tom & Pat 0, Kevin M & friend Robin S, and Kyle & Cathy D. Once at the actual staging point we had a fairly short wait this year and were actually in motion at 4pm although we did not travel too far. The parade, as always, is a slow one but at least this year was cooler than last. Unfortunately after going about a half mile of the route the rain started, so down when our flags and up went the tops as the rain became persistent. This did not dissuade the people along the route as they were all very wet but happy to see the Corvettes and other parade participants go by them. After the event was over about half of the group went to Claddagh's for an early dinner and a lot of good conversation. Another successful event for the Corvette Indy members & friends.
