Piercy's Heading to Spring Party 03/02
Tom and Nancy Piercy have taken over hosting the second house party of the year that the Noelle's had done in the past. With March sneaking in like a lamb a "Heading to Spring Party" title seems to fit it this year instead of another Winter Party of past years. It was even nice enough that a Corvette, Jody's new to her C4, was there even though Tom had suggested bringing metal cars due to their tight street parking. With nearly 50 members in attendance the spacious upstairs and downstairs easily fit everyone. Those that went downstairs were also treated to Tom's O-Gauge train setup, which he has been working on over the years there. As with any Corvette Indy party there was a lot of food on both levels, especially sweet items. The Piercy's also had plentiful libations augmented by a bottle of bourbon shared by several in the group. The upstairs had music playing on the TV while downstairs's TV had the Big 10 tourney on with IU failing and Purdue continuing on by the end of the evening. Early in the evening Greg got an emergency email from his furnace indicating that it was having a blower issue. This caused them to quickly leave only to fortunately find there was no emergency when they got home. At the time of this write-up they were patiently awaiting the repair personal to arrive and see what had triggered the email. Both were not happy that they had to leave, but one has to say that certainly is a new excuse when your 'smart' house tells you to come home. As always Corvette Indy parties are a lot of fun and enjoyed by all that attended.
