Spring Fling 2015

This year's Spring Fling was held on May 3 on a beautiful sunny and warm 'summer' spring day. The morning started for Corvette Indy at a north side meeting point of Paradise Cafe. Wylie then led a caravan to the south side where more Corvettes joined in. To help make the lights on 31, we went 3 lanes wide on our way to the Hoosier Corvette Spring Fling location, which worked great only splitting the group at the final light when we got back to a single lane going in. Our initial group of 19 got parked and were soon joined by 6 more and then yet 5 more club Corvettes during the early afternoon. This total of 30 participants gave Corvette Indy the participation award for the day's event. We also took two trophies away from the Hoosier Club's number as Wylie's C4 and Jeff's C6 got recognized by the voting participants. Hoosier had a good show, with a DJ and during the day there were many door prizes given out along with a silent auction and other raffles. After the Spring Fling portion was done, about half of the Corvette Indy group stayed to join in the Corvette Indy Rallies that started from the Spring Fling location.
