Rita's Spooktacular 10/29
Rita's Spooktacular, her fourth, has become an anticipated fall event for Corvette Indy members. Most reverted to their 'hidden' youth as over 40 arrived in very involved costumes with several stymieing the rest with who they were. Pam's 'IT' was the most creative as she arrived alone and stood by the garage fitting in with Rita's decorations while others strolled by. As always the aforementioned decorations where everywhere with spiders being this year's theme. Even Wylie & Rita's C7 sporting it's new plate STRM TRP was covered with spider webs. This year, with the weather being almost balmy, a number of the members enjoyed the patio along with the living room and basement areas through out the evening which easily held the assembled group. Food was plentiful including chicken from Mary the lady that cooks for the legion along with Wylie's specially cooked ribs along with baked beans and other sides brought in. Of course there was also the table full of sweet items, fully appreciated by everyone. During the evening both the World Series and Notre Dame along with other football games were on the TVs. A number of the members in the basement also enjoyed libations including moon shine, wine, and beer plus a full range of other drinks available through out the house. The evening was a lot of fun and everyone is already planning their costumes for Rita's Spooktacular V next year. Be sure to make your plans to attend this fun club event.
