Parky's Trip II 06/16

After a very rainy start to the week Bill & Erika held a drive to Parky's Smokehouse in Lebanon on the first forecasted dry day. The members and with their 8 Corvettes met at the host's house where the new plate "Itz Blue" was unveiled to the group on Bill's newly nicknamed Night Race Blue 13 Grand Sport. Actually the plate had just come in the mail minutes before the group was to arrive and quickly put on. Those able to go along were Mike T Jack H, Paul & Londa H, Jim & Shelley N, Mark & Donna S, Dean & Zoe D, Tom & Nancy P, and Terry S & Susie H. Before leaving Greg B along with Merlin, fresh from Frisbee run in the park, came by to see everyone off as he had he had to head back home and was missing the drive. The route there used mainly county roads including the twisty Ellaville road all of which fortunately were dry. Once at Parky's the group sat at their usual tables and had a great late lunch which was overseen by the restaurant's owner Julie as her husband was off playing golf. The club likes to go to Parky's as they have been good supporters of Main Event the past few years along with the good food there.
