Kellam's Bonfire & Chili Dinner 10/10
On what was the most beautiful evening weather of the past several years the Kellam's held their 10th (as best the long time members attending could recollect) Fall dinner and Bonfire at their house. This year the weather was so mild that both overhead doors were open in the pole barn. With over 80 members and guests attending the annual event. Pam had two pots of chili cooking away along with garnish for the hungry group ready as they arrived. There were also a number of tables setup for the carry in items that everyone brought from appetizers and salads to desserts . The dessert tables almost overflowed, but all were safely consumed by the end of the evening. This year there were a number of tables and chairs setup in the yard and inside the barn along with a commercial ice maker and refrigerator, as Jim & Pam had purchased them from the restaurant closing, that everyone enjoyed using throughout the evening. With the beautiful night, after eating, a majority of the group circled 5 deep around the bright fire. The inner circle was very warm as the sole of Jim N's shoe soon found out. The party was visited by Blue & Bus near the end as Pam let them out to check things out around the fire. Everyone had a great time and since there were a number of new faces and a few missing ones from past years next year's party could easily exceed 100. Thanks to Pam & Jim for another great Corvette Indy event continues for the enjoyment of the members.
