Five 2015 Projects - #4
Breaking Wind on the '10'
I also purchased a wind restrictor kit for the 2010 convertible. After installing the unit on the C5 I decided there was no sense stopping there so I proceeded with the C6 install. The designs needed to be different but both were well thought out. The C6 install went well. This unit is also LED equipped and does a good job of blocking a lot of the wind that would otherwise whip Donna's hair around into her eyes and give her lots of knots to brush out later. Its not that big a problem for me but maybe because my hairs are too far apart to get knotted up? The only difference I see between the C5 and the C6 install is that the C6 is a little snugger fit. I drive with the seat all the way back and I notice the seat back hits the wind restrictor on the right corner in the C6 where I don't seem to notice that in the C5. Its not really a problem except I wonder if the seat leather will mar the restrictor surface at the contact point over time?
