Inaugural Noelle's Winter Party

On Saturday February 16 the Corvette Indy members met at Jim & Shelley's house for the clubs second Winter Party of the New Year. With Jim's C6 sign alight in his garage window everyone easily found the house for their inaugural party, although Rick wondered if it was a Corvette party as he was the only one brave enough to drive his on the cold winter evening. Members that attended were Jim & Shelley N, Rich & Suzanne B, Greg & Donna B, John & Barb B, Butch & Tammy D, Susie H & Terry S, Bob H, John & Marg H, Pat & Carol H, Doug & Arminta I, Jim & Pam K Bill & Erika L, Rick M & Monica, Sarah Lee R, Dick & Bonnie P, Mark & Donna S, Robert S & Judie, Bob & Barb Y which made for full use of the house. The group was able to enjoy the abundant food provided from sliders (Shelley's home made with fresh buns and Pat's White Castle) too a multitude of desert items with many appetizers in between.  With the NASCAR's first race of the year on both TV's the group enjoyed the time to socialize, play cards, and using Jim's great pool table. It was generally felt that Rich was the true pool shark, with Pam also defending her turns at the table well. Along with the pool table everyone that ventured to the basement also enjoyed Jim's mighty Wurlitzer Jukebox, with it's Mercedes Benz wiper motor spinning the 50's on up tunes (it doesn't go rrr - rrr as Bob had suggested at lunch a few days before!). Jim also warmed up his computer and put the slide show on of the new C7 that was just posted on the Corvette Indy site from Bob & Barb's trip to the Chicago Auto Show. Erika was able to use the gathering to interview a number of members for a new Newsletter feature of 'Meet the Members' to start in the next issue. Card playing again broke out with several groups playing at the available tables. With a light snow falling, the group started breaking up through out the evening, with a few even staying well past midnight for a two day party.
As always when the Corvette Indy gang gets together everyone had a lot of fun and just enjoys the company of all of the members of the club!
