Beef House

On May 29 Wylie and Rita hosted their first Retirees & Hookey Players Drive N Dine with a trip to the Beef House in Covington IN. They certainly earned their first set of beads with this one, as it was 180 mile round trip with over 2 hours of driving on many 2 lane roads each way. They also had a good group of Corvettes to keep track of for their baptismal outing. Those attending were hosts Wylie & Rita E, Greg & Donna B, Jim & Pam K, Jim & Shelly N, John & Marge H, Bob & Sherrie W, Bill & Erika L, Susie H & Terry S, Greg T, & Jack H for a total of 10 Corvettes on the trip. The trip included some great scenery and many roads with curves and low hills, it also turned in to a gorgeous day as the temperature hit 90 and there was no rain! We even found that when we got to the Beef House that it was early enough to get their 'Early Bird Special' which a number of the members took advantage of that meal menu as they are not as huge. There were a number of members that did take the extra rolls home, along with one member that bought a dozen and a jar of jam too, as the Beef House is know for their rolls. Everyone had a great time and we will be looking to see what Wylie can come up with for an encore!
