Discount Tire Corvette Indy Show

On Sunday 8/24 Discount Tire manager Levi of the Lafayette Road store held a Corvette Indy appreciation car show. With the day being the hottest of the summer and potential afternoon storms there were still 42 Corvette Indy Corvettes that made their way to the West side location. Levi and his employees had everything set up for a great event including lots of parking and even tents set up to help with the sun. He also arranged for a hot dog stand, which was really appreciated by the assembled group, especially the 'jumbo' dogs. Gratefully Levi also had a lot of water and other drinks available for the assembled group, which was really appreciated. There were drawings for great door prizes and a 50/50 drawing. The door prize ticket proceeds were ear marked for the Discount Tire BTHAF employee charity, while the 50/50 was for Corvette Indy's charity fund. Upon hearing more about the Bruce T Halle Assistance Fund (BTHAF) the owner of Discount Tire Bruce Halle's charity for his employees 50/50 winner Donna B gave her share to the fund and the assembled CI members, after Greg's motion, quickly voted to give the Club's share to the fund also. The Discount Tire BTHAF employee charity ended up receiving well over $400 for the afternoon. Once the awards were done most of the assembled group headed out for the club's 25th Anniversary Picture up the road at Lincoln College.
The club thanks Levi and his employees for a spectacular afternoon show and will look forward to doing one next year with them to support BTHFA.
