Penske Cookout 03/26
On a beautiful Saturday, the day before Easter, Corvette Indy held it's first cookout of the season at Penske Chevrolet as a thank you for their employees and customers to enjoy. The turn out was large with many members coming and going during the 10:00 to 3:30 time frame to staff and also enjoy the cookout. The grillers got busy and had hot dogs, brats, and hamburgers ready before 11, as the line started then and was very steady until 1:30 or so and then picked up again for another round of the grilled items before the club members packed up. A big thanks to the day's cooks handling most of the grilling duties, Mike Tann & Keith Riley, who both were kept busy keeping up with the high demand and appreciated by everyone there. They had help from a number of members who also cooked, wrapped, and served the great grilled and other items available including cookies donated by several members. Also thanks to our Penske liaisons Greg Bowron & Bob Young who had made all of the arrangements in the week leading up to it, including having Penske clear multiple rows of parking spaces for the club members Corvettes for an mini Corvette display. Special thanks goes to Brett Rozzi and his staff at Penske for supplying all of the food and other items needed to make the day's event a real success. What a great day for a Corvette Indy event and enjoyed by all who attended.
