For the first time Corvette Indy, with Wylie's guidance, got a group of members together to display multiple generations of Corvettes in a Artomobilia Coral. As the day approached there were a few dropouts and additions to make a total of 14 Corvettes in the display. Those, in what turned out to be hardy soles, were John Rash C1, Bill Lapham C3, Barry Rector C4, Al Forey & Bill Reynolds C5, John Vess C6, Wylie Etscheid, Bob Hensley, Jimmie Driscoll, Charlie Sherman, Steve Shepherd, Tom Piercy, Paul Habecker, and Ray Chester all with various C7's for a great cross section of Corvette generations. The group meet at the the old Marsh lot on 116th to head to the Carmel elementary together, which let them arrive around 7:45 to get checked in. With rain storms in the forecast they were told to hold there as the police would not let the load in happen. Also pulling in to the staging area was Sean Foy with a Lingenfelter Camaro  LT1 that Wylie had helped them get a slot in the show. After a stormy wet hour plus they were finally were led by a golf cart down Main street to their location, where they parked by "C" generation. Soon everyone was wiping their Corvette down for the first time of the day and then heading to Square Donuts for a free one and coffee sponsored by Barrett-Jackson. Of course a bit later it poured and then let up with a bit of sun, so some tried to dry a second time. The sun didn't hold and everyone was wet again, so soon most everyone decided to wait things out and were seated in the covered breezeway. They sort of stayed dry, but the wind keep giving them a mist bath through out their time there. Around 11:30 most of the guys headed to Muldoon's for an early lunch as dinner had been planned for 5:15 at Charleston for everyone who displayed and their wives. Soon afterward Wylie got an email from the organizers saying that due to more expected bad weather that the judging time had been moved up and that those that wanted to could leave early. Since the coral group was not getting judged most everyone headed out after finishing their lunch to go home and dry their Corvettes off again and some take a nap before dinner.
