Lawrence Central HC Parade
On the 16th of September Lawrence Central held their annual Home Coming parade with the addition of Corvettes from Corvette Indy for the first time.
From the school's contact Jennifer Query the following comments were made to Greg after the parade:
We had 12 cars!!!! 11 of yours and 1 faculty member's car.
Honestly Greg, the Corvettes MADE THE PARADE!!! The kids LOVED IT!!!! Words alone cannot express my deep appreciation. All kids from elementary on up were just so very excited. All agreed the Corvettes were the highlight. The Herders took names of those present and I would like to get that list so that I can send out thank you notes. We will be sending picture to you as well. One student said, Ms. Q, I have always wanted to be close to a nice car.
Members attending were John & Marg Herder, Paul Habecker, Pete Davis, Barry Rector, Joe Miller, Jerry Croy, Josh Satterfield, Jeff Cox, Tom Piercy, John Vess and Keith Riley. Greg and Donna Bowron were also planning on being there as Donna is a '67 graduate of Lawrence Central and it was her 50th anniversary! Unfortunately Merlin knocked her down earlier in the morning and the damage was a chipped tibia plateau and torn LCL... 6 weeks on walker... out for the season... was the latest word from Greg on her condition.

FYI, I was the second car and drove the LC Principle Mr. Rocco Valadez.
Tom also sent in pictures of his riding queen candidate and others from the day.
Looks like Corvette Indy will have a new yearly date for the Lawrence Central Home Coming.
