​Scouting Trip to NCMP 03/15

On another crisp March day three Corvette Indy members headed to New Castle to check out New Castle Motorsports Park which is a kart track that has been in existence for around 15 years. Those heading out to the tracks were William Arnold, Bill Lapham, and Bob Young who is a former member and knows the owner Michael Adams very well. William is going to plan an event there which based on the track and club's open dates will be this spring on April 14. During the scouting trip it was found that someone as young as 14 could rent a kart and 5 years old if you own one! With that information William is planning to open it up for members to bring along eligible children or grandchildren. Costs are $65 / hour of driving time which would be split into 15 or 20 minute segments of roughly 10 karts at a time. It will be during open driving time, so members might well be challenged by many younger drivers. After the kart driving the group will head almost next door to Montgomery's Steakhouse for a late lunch / early dinner.
