​C7 IMS Grand Prix Day 05/13

Chevrolet again hosted a C7 Day at the Track for the annual running of the Grand Prix. A total of 14 remembers C7's made it to the event, with many of the opportunities coming from our sponsor Penske and a few from other dealers. The morning kicked off with a motorcycle escort from Traders Point plaza for a quick drive to the track. Once there they joined in the activities including close up views of this year's Grand Sport pace car. This was followed by a cruise around the road course. Pictures going to the track and there were taken by Jim Alvis who rode with Wylie, while the on track shots were taken by our professional corner worker Jim Shaver who worked the Grand Prix later in the day. The final pictures on the track are of Sam Schmidt and Mario Andretti in their race with both Corvettes set up as ​semi-autonomous (SAM) race cars controlled by head motions. A great sight to see.
