Lincoln College Car Show
On Saturday July 12 Lincoln College held their third annual car show and Corvette Indy caravan in with 21 entries. Most of the group met at the usual Saturday morning meeting place of Paradise Cafe and then caravan over to the Burger King on 71 & Georgetown Rd to pick up another 7 Corvettes for the final Caravan to the college's location. Once registered the group did final cleaning and generally got their Corvettes spiffed up prior to the judging and the threatened rain. The club members also enjoyed the food truck and the live music while awaiting the award ceremony. With the rain starting the award ceremony was moved inside to keep every one dry. The club did well when it came to awards as 10 member Corvettes got recognized.
Corvette Indy winners were: TOP 20: Greg & Donna B, Wylie E, Al F, Chris W, Jim S, Rich B, Jeff B, Charlie B and Bill & Erika L. Rita E won the Lady's Choice Award. Unfortunately Dick P had left early to re-clean his C6 for the next car show as Jim S was told that Dick might have won best in show but you must be present to win. Instead the B of S trophy went to a 1970 White Mustang owner shown in the picture wearing his Mustang Club jacket. Even with the weather coming in the club members had a great time getting together for the show.
