Piercy's Winter Party 02/29
First a BIG THANKS to Nancy and Tom Piercy for holding another GREAT party!!
This year's party was a true leap year day event with clear weather and a great crowd of Corvette Indy members. This included our oldest in both age and club longevity to our newest members enjoying the 70 member gathering. Too much food and drink to document, but rest assured no one went home hungry or thirsty. At the end of the evening there might have been a bit of Bourbon sampling too. There were also too many different discussions to recount the topics, although the C8 builds that are coming to members soon were on many minds. Phil has already read the manual that is posted on the Corvette Indy site, as his is built and will be delivered in the next few weeks. Unfortunately Tom's trains were out of action with a mysterious short that had just cropped, so the layout is still a great work of art even when just static. As the evening progressed and the downstairs got hotter and nosier several headed upstairs to enjoy the cooler living room and the Big Ten games that were playing there. Rita was enthusiastically rooting for Michigan State to beat Maryland (which they did) to help her beloved Illinois team in the standings. As the evening wound down most of the attendees, except for the hard core group, were gone by the 11 bewitching hour with the rest leaving by 11:30. Again thanks to Tim & Nancy for holding the winter event.
