Bloomington Gold Autocross 6/20-6/23
As with the past three years the autocross was run by the Indiana Region of NCCC with mainly Corvette Indy equipment and members helping, along with a few region members on track days. On Wednesday Butch and a hobbling Bill set the track up, of course it was a beautiful day. Once done they even took a golf cart ride around the ground checking things out and running in to a working Jim Shaver.
On Thursday through Saturday a skeleton crew ran the autocross this year, using just a few people to chase cones on the golf cart instead of corner workers placed around the track. This save roughly 12 people working per 1/2 day shift, which should make the Bloomington Gold management happy this year. Unfortunately Thursday had a lot of rain and not too many run. Friday had better weather and with more runs made while Saturday had even better weather and a number of more runs. Thanks to the hardcore group of Corvette Indy members which worked hard all three days!!
Thanks to Marian for the Friday Pictures
