Vettes N Vets Corvette Show 8/18/18

This year's Corvette Indy Penske sponsored all Corvette Show was again held at the Carmel American Legion. Even with the sketchy weather forecasts all week long the Corvettes turned out in large numbers as over 210 descended on the great location for a car show. The weather did cooperate with clouds but a 'steamy' dry day for everyone's enjoyment. With the previous day's rain the guests Corvettes were parked on the paved lot until out of space and then on to the grass as all of the Corvette Indy Corvettes were too. As in past year's this is a Peoples Choice show with the guests voting for Corvette Indy member Corvettes and Corvette Indy members voting for the guest entrants with a double set of trophies for all 19 Class categories and special categories. As an added bonus this year, there was also the addition of a NCCC sanction, so all NCCC members will earn the 3 points given for a People Choice concourse event. During the day the DJ played tunes while attendees purchased raffle tickets and just enjoyed looking at the assembled group of beautiful Corvettes. The American Legion also had food available for purchase as the day went on. Also one of Corvette Indy's favorite charities, Pets Healing Vets, had two of their veterans and their dogs there for everyone to meet. It was really touching for everyone to see the program in action. The club's sponsor Penske Chevrolet brought out 2 new Corvettes for display and even offered full discounts for anyone that wanted an upgrade. The afternoon went quickly with the trophy presentation starting before 3 PM and the parking lot was void of Corvettes by 4:30.
