​Main Event 2017 - Friday Track  Setup  04/28

Friday started out as a dry day with a few of the members arriving at the site to do initial setup with the rest coming in before 5 to set up the cones and clean the track. Fortunately Butch & Bill got the timing trailer in position and the start and finish light locations in their general locations. This allowed Bill to check cable lengths to the lights and line of site to the start and finish and basic light operation. During the mid afternoon the out of town racers started arriving with their motor homes or Corvettes on trailers to be left in the lot over night as Butch & Tammy and others were camping out there on Friday night. Also, in the late afternoon the rental items of two golf carts and three portable potties were delivered and placed on the large site. Unfortunately it started to rain just about the time the cones were to get set and track blown off. The course cones were set, but with the heavy rain coming the group headed home and others to the parking lot. As the evening storm blew through Tammy sent final pictures with the following note as Butch's grandmother was staying the night with them.
