Chocolate & Pizza Extravaganza 04/15
Saturday afternoon William & Sharon Arnold led a Drive N Dine to Greenfield on a beautiful sunny day with temperatures in the 80s which dropped the top on several of the Vettes. We met at the Meijer's on 96th Street and headed east through Fortville where we had a Police escort to block SR 67 to get us across in one group. It was a nice drive and everyone did a great job of keeping up so that the 28 shiny Vettes arrived as a group in Greenfield where the Mayor, a Corvette owner,... had arranged for the Police to hold a parking area where we could all park together. The mayor and his wife also came downtown to meet the Corvette Indy group.
Once there we got tours of the local chocolate shop where we watched chocolate being made and of course bought some to try and keep our weight up. After touring the chocolate shop (and several of the gals hitting the clothes shop next door) most of the group drove another of couple miles for pizza where the back room was reserved for the club. Another dozen or so didn't get that far as they discovered a great Italian restaurant a short walking distance from the chocolate shop and decided to enjoy the local cuisine. That was the Tour of Italy restaurant in Greenfield, as the restaurant was highly recommended by Greenfield residents, club members Randy & Sherry Sprague and by the folks at the local dress boutique where some of the women were shopping. That group had a great time and also enjoyed some great food, the rest enjoyed their pizza party. During the day Bill Reynolds took many of the pictures below.
Great outing and terrific job of planning by William & Sharon!

Sharon's Sunday 4/16 note to the club:
Thank You Corvette Indy!!! Our Chocolate & Pizza Extravaganza is the talk of Greenfield!!
William and I are so grateful that 65 Corvette Indy Members joined us on this beautiful day.
As Fortville Officer Durbin said after he held up the traffic on 36 so we could cross safely
and stay together; “It was the most beautiful sight I have seen in a long time”.
He said we can come back anytime, he will gladly assist us again!
We ended up with 3 schedules for the Chocolate Tour’s, and I think everyone really enjoyed
Meeting Jayne and learning about Chocolate and getting to taste the different kinds! WOW
There is a lot to chocolate. Many of the ladies found shopping at the Antique Shop and the
Little boutique next door to the Chocolate Shop to be delightful as well. Chuck and Debbie
saw a “Welcome Corvette Indy” at the Gritsby’s and enjoyed their brief visit there as well!
Wylie and his lovely first lady did a great job today, meeting and presenting Mayor Chuck
Fewell and his wife an Honorary Corvette Indy Membership for 2017. The Mayor has a
2003 Red Corvette and he stayed the entire afternoon meeting and chatting with our
great club members! Please welcome Mayor & Mrs. Chuck Fewell!!
We were a hit today in Greenfield, many came out to see the cars, chat with us, and tell
Us what a great asset we were today downtown Greenfield! Next on our busy agenda
Was a 2 mile jaunt west to Mozzi’s for the Pizza Buffet. Some chose to go to the Italian
Restaurant instead, but none of the forty-strong going to Mozzi’s went home hungry.
We’re grateful to all who could come today and sincerely missed those who could not.
We wish all of our Corvette brothers and Sisters a blessed and Happy Easter.
