Putnam Park Weekend June 3 & 4
The second major autocross weekend that members compete and work at after Main Event is at the Putnam Park Road Course. This year there were several new club faces enjoying the weekend. Those either competing or working were Frank & Cathy Coolidge in their newly purchased for racing C4, Butch & Tammy DeWitt, Gary & Marian Cole, Mark Hilligoss, Keith & Jan Riley, Bill Lapham, Bill Stafford, 'semi pro corner workers' Jim Shaver and Terry Adams, and newest member and another racer Paul Oleksy. Among the spectators at the track were John & Marg Herder.
Also competing on the weekend were former club president Jim Walton in his reliable C3 along with wife Claudine who drove in from southeast Missouri. The weather fully cooperated with being beautiful and warm. Saturday with some timing issues ran long, but Sunday was done by mid afternoon. On Saturday evening Tammy & Butch hosted and donated the evening meal at the motel with Keith taking over the grill duties and Nikki Hieston bringing over husband Ray's now famous pulled pork.
