2013 Columbus Corvette Club Car Show
A small group of Corvette Indy members headed south to the Columbus Corvette Club Car show, a regular stop for these members on their summer car show circuit. Those attending were Randy & Sherry S, Chris & Paula W, and new member Paul H. The account of their day and pictures were provided by Randy: The day started with all meeting at 7:30 am for breakfast at the Cracker Barrel at the Edinburgh outlet mall. A hearty breakfast was enjoyed by all. We then departed for the short drive down US 31 to the Columbus mall where the show was once again held in the northeast part of the lot. Upon arriving around 9am we set-up our tent which once again was provided by Chris and Paula. Thanks again for providing the much needed shade. The car detailing then began for the guys as the ladies departed to downtown Columbus for the Farmer's market which is held every Saturday and usually draws over a 100 vendors from around the area. After the detailing was complete and the judging was done we relaxed and enjoyed the beautiful weather. A lot of visiting was done with several of the Columbus Corvette club whom we are good friends with. The total attendance was 60 vehicles with the Mustang Club of Columbus taking the club participation award with 9 ponies. They were provided reserved parking in the nicest area of the lot which we all found interesting since the show was put on by the Corvette club. Oh well did not matter when awards were given since the Corvettes took home more hardware than the Mustangs! Awards were presented at 2:30 with Randy & Sherry S, Chris & Paula W, Paul H, and Steve Blunk from Circle City Corvette Club,
all taking top 50 honors. It was a well run show and a great time was had by all.
It is great to be part of a club large enough to be represented at several shows on the same day.
